I have been looking for a jacket warm enough to be outside for a while(not for playing in snow) but also fit in th car seat safely. Bulky jackets are not ok in car seats. Who wants to take jackets on and off every time you get out of the car. Not me!!! Now my 4&5 year olds and can buckle their car seats again with ease. Mama is happy cause the kids are safe. They are warm jackets with down and Omni heat. I swear by my Omni heat jacket so I know how amazing it is. They have a hood so we don't lose hats everywhere we go. Pockets to put hands in and a special inside pocket to put treasures in. We got the black jackets to avoid any future stains but the purplish/pink color still makes it cute.MN winters are cold and this jacket keeps you warm. We wish it was fleece-lined in hood and had thumb holes in cuffs like the old “Space Heater” down jacket her bro has, but this is next best. It is cute, with a good flexible fit for outside play or trips to town. Wind blocker and Insulates well in sub-zero temps.The jacket looks great and seams high quality but unfortunately the sizing is a little small and we will need to return it. The size chart online doesn't align with the sizing for the jacket. We ordered an XS for our admittedly tall 7 year old thinking it was about a 9-10 in sizing. The jacket just fits and will be too tight with any type of warm/bulky clothing under it.I am very happy with this find. This is a great coat for a little kid. It is thin but very warm, my daughter is always asking if she can unzip it even in pretty cold temperatures, in the 30s anyways. I like the color, the fit, and I really like that it is as thin as it is. It makes it super easy to buckle her into her booster seat, unlike her last coat that was very thick and I had to fight to see to buckle her in.I absolutely love this jacket and would highly recommend it. The quality is astounding as well as the price that Amazon has it for. I am very satisfied with my purchase and will continue to buy Columbia products for the winter. It's lightweight yet will keep her warm in the cold winter days when there is snow and ice.Nice jackets! They seem to be warm. The sleeves are long for the jacket size, but we just rolled each sleeve up and it’s fine. The sleeves are actually attractive rolled up because doing do shows more of the brightly colored lining.Coat is nice and warm, however the material it is made out of seems to be flimsy and easily torn. My daughter has ruined it in only a month! Columbia offers a warranty, however, I am not sure they will cover that.Columbia 550 down: My 8 yr old loves this coat! Bought in a L, she'll have at least this year & next in it! Very warm & she loves that it covers her booty!This is the best jacket! My daughter loves it and I feel good because I know she is warm. The jacket is so soft and lightweight. Excellent quality.
