I got this book for my 4-year-old daughter who will be a big sister in January. The book explains things on her level, and helps to validate some of the feelings she may be having (excited, worried if Mommy and Daddy will still have time for her, etc.). It talks about what it will be like with a new baby- from when Mom and Dad are at the hospital and she will have to stay with a relative, to when the baby is first home and Mommy and Daddy will probably be busy with all the diapers/feeding/etc., to how wonderful it will be to have another addition to the family. I like that it mentions that Mommy and Daddy will continue to love her just as much as they already do, and with a new baby we will just grow more love/our hearts will get bigger.We enjoy reading it together and I find that she will look at it often times by herself as well.
